Ministries

Our Ministries

At Friendship, we seek to live out our faith through service.   We believe God calls us to diakonos; living for God by doing for others.   For us, ministry has three dimensions. First, ministry is personal.  It is always carried out by men, women, boys and girls who have yielded to the love of God.  Then, ministry is interpersonal.  Our love of God is demonstrated by our serving others. Ministry is also supernatural. All true Christian service is initiated, inspired, and imbued with the Spirit of Christ.  Our great variety of ministries represent our prayerful attempt to let God use our uniqueness and creativity to lift up Christ and serve others.

Deacons Ministry

Mission Statement

The word for Deacon in the NT originally referred to a servant who, “stirred up dust while waiting on tables.” The mission of the Deacon’s Ministry is to serve Christ, under the leadership and direction of the Pastor, in the practical ministry of the church. Above all, Deacons are called to support the Pastor and assist the congregation in the work of the kingdom.

The Trustee Ministry

Mission Statement

Members of the Trustee’s Ministry, under the leadership of the Pastor, are charged with the responsibility of being faithful stewards in the execution and management of the business of the church as well as being faithful Christians in the home and in the community.
